Description

The Ultimate dry block heater and cooler is designed for a variety of applications including ligation, restriction digest, DNA denaturation, melting agar, coagulation studies, hybridisation and hot start thermocycler reactions. It can be used as a dry block heater, a water bath, or a bead bath incubator.

The Ultimate features a leak-proof moulded aluminium alloy heating chamber coated with PTFE and a digital microprocessor controller provides highly precise temperature control over a broad temperature range from -10°C to 100°C.

A large LCD screen displays operating parameters and the unit includes safety features that provide protection against over-temperature and solid state relay failure. Optional PC control software allows the dry bath incubator to perform real time data recording through a PC.

The Ultimate can create programs with 1 - 4 steps that can be set to run through nine cycles. The unit can be run on the timer or in continuous mode and an annealing program is stored in the instrument's memory.

A range of block options offers flexibility to labs with multiple tube and plate applications (please see options below). These precision-machined aluminium alloy blocks allow for highly efficient heat or cold transfer to samples. Each block has a block lifter well to assist in removing blocks from the instrument as well as a thermometer well.
