Description

The UVITEC Platinum Q9 gel imaging system features a 6 megapixel high resolution scientific grade camera that is ideal for fluorescent, blue light and visible light imaging applications. With 16 bit pixel depth, an intensity range of 65536 grey scales and greater than 4.0 orders of magnitude, the camera provides superb sensitivity, band discrimination and image quality for both documentation and quantification. The camera also features a passive cooling system that significantly reduces background noise.

The Platinum Q9 darkroom is constructed of stainless steel and coated with epoxy paint for increased chemical resistance. It is fully computer-controlled and incorporates a UV security auto switch-off and overheat automatic UV switch timer.

The Platinum Q9 is compact and features user-interchangeable plug-and-play transilluminators. Transilluminators are mounted on a roll-out system which, when combined with Live Preview mode, ensures quick and easy sample positioning and fine focus. The highly intuitive UVI 1D software drives a fully automated protocol-driven image acquisition process that at the same time provides the end-user with a wide range of post-acquisition image enhancement and annotation tools. Annotations can be saved as a template and then the same template can be applied to other images.

The software is supplied with a number of pre-defined set-ups that can be optimised to a specific application and then saved as a protocol to be recalled at a later date for similar image capture purposes. It also features "3D-live" view mode that can be turned on during acquisition for image optimization. 

A complete suite of analysis functions are available with the software which is 21-CFR-part-11 ready and compliant. These include:

• Distance calculations/R&F
• Colony counting
