PM-3.5 | Magnetisable polystyrene microparticles, no surface modification, 3.0 um-3.9 um diameter
These 3.0 um-3.9 um diameter particles are manufactured by coating a layer of iron oxide and polystyrene onto polystyrene core microparticles. They are magnetisable (paramagnetic) in that they are magnetised within a magnetic field but outside of the magnetic field the particles are not magnetic.
The paramagnetic feature allows these particles to be used for cell and cell fragment separation, protein, antibody and DNA isolation, affinity purification and DNA probe assays.
