The compact and portable Maelstrom Switch 8 from TANBead utilises magnetic beads to automate the purification of DNA, RNA, proteins and cells from virtually any source. It features easy-to-switch gearboxes and plates for versatile throughput, volumes and applications and can process 4, 8 or 16 samples simultaneously depending upon which gearbox is used.

A choice of 2.2 mm, 3.5 mm, 4.2 mm, or 7.5 mm magnetic rods provides a processing range from 50 µL to 9000 µL and the Switch 8 is compatible with most commercially available magnetic bead-based nucleic acid extraction kits.
