Air Cleaners

Clean and uncontaminated air is critical for laboratories involved in PCR, DNA and RNA analysis, microbiology, virology and tissue culture. These UV air cleaners from Biosan combine laminar air flow with high intensity, non-direct UV light to completely inactivate DNA and to substantially reduce microbiological contamination.

Constant Temperature Incubators

These laboratory incubators are available with different capacities to meet a wide range of storage requirements. Some units offer rocking or orbital motion and can also be fitted with rotisseries for multi-tube mixing. Advanced PID control of temperature is available in some instruments for incubations that require highly accurate temperature control.

Crosslinkers (UV)

Crosslinkers can be used for a wide range of applications such as fixing nucleic acids to nylon or nitrocellulose membranes, elimination or reduction of PCR contamination, ultraviolet curing of polymers, adhesives and inks and also for UV sterilisation.

DNA Workstations

Our standard and extended length DNA Workstations have been designed to decontaminate reagents and equipment prior to carrying out PCR reactions. Powerful UV lamps denature nucleic acids in 15-30 minutes making them unsuitable for amplification and therefore eliminating any possible cross contamination.

Dry Block Heater and Cooler Baths

We have an extensive range of dry block heaters and coolers with interchangeable blocks for various sizes of tubes, microcentrifuge tubes and microplates.

Electrophoresis Power Supplies

We offer a wide range of electrophoresis power supplies that provide end-users with a choice of output voltages, output currents and terminal pairs.

Forced Convection Ovens

Our range of forced convection ovens feature gravity-flow convection with vertical airflow for uniform sample heating. They offer a temperature range from 10oC above ambient to 260oC and utilise advanced PID control for temperature stability and safety protection.

Hot Plates and Stirrers

Our range of high quality Wiggens hot plates and stirrers are available with one, four or six independent stirring positions. A number of our instruments feature infrared heating systems and ceramic glass plates and all have connections for PT100 temperature or K-type thermocouple sensors.

Low Temperature Incubators

These low temperature incubators utilise noiseless HBP compressor cooling systems to reduce water evaporation in the incubator chambers. They offer a temperature range from +4oC to 60oC and advanced PID control for enhanced temperature stability and safety protection.

Magnetic Stirrers

Our range of Wiggens magnetic stirrers features instruments with one, four or six independent stirring positions.

Nucleic Acid Extraction

These nucleic acid extraction systems from Taiwan Advanced Nanotech Inc. (TANBead) are compact bench-top robotic workstations that utilise proven magnetic bead separation technology and a novel mixing methodology for automated nucleic acid extraction. They use specially developed extraction kits for true walk-away automation that is highly efficient, easy to use, reliable, safe and cost-effective.

TLC Imaging and Analysis

The FireReader TLC from UVITEC is a powerful, fully automated and 21 CFR Part 11 compliant thin layer chromatography documentation system with direct UV 254 nm, UV 365 nm and white light illumination. The 6 megapixel 16 bit scientific grade camera features a highly sensitive, fully automated lens that provides superb sensitivity for TLC/HPTLC plates.

Ultrasonic Cleaning Baths

Advance Scientific offers a wide range of ultrasonic cleaning baths with capacities from 3 Litres to 22 Litres. All instruments utilise powerful ultrasonic piezo transducer systems and offer advanced features to optimise the cleaning process. The UE series of baths don't offer heating but heating is available in the UA series. The larger units of both series are fitted with drains for easy emptying.

Water Purification Systems

The Labaqua water purification systems from Biosan use tap water to produce ultrapure and pure water that exceeds the requirements of all relevant standards for water purity. The Labaqua systems incorporate a controller with a colour graphic LCD display for water quality monitoring. The LCD display provides all key information on system status as well as a system flow-chart that displays information on the remaining pre-filter lifetime as well as the deionisation (DI) module performance. The smart DI module monitoring system reduces operating costs by instructing the end-user to replace the DI module only when it is near the end of its service life.
